International Brotherhood of Teamsters
The Previant Law Firm, S.C. has an historic relationship with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. The firm is named after David Previant, who was counsel to James R. Hoffa and became general counsel to the Teamsters for more than 30 years.
During its long affiliation with the Teamsters, The Previant Law Firm, S.C. has represented the Teamsters in nearly every kind of forum. We have guided Teamster leaders in collective bargaining, grievances, contract disputes, and internal union matters. We have represented Teamsters in arbitration, before the National Labor Relations Board, and before other state and federal agencies. We have litigated on behalf of Teamsters in state and federal courts, including appellate courts and the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Previant Law Firm, S.C. has represented every level of the Teamsters organization. This includes not only Local Unions and their officers, but also Joint Councils, Trade Divisions, Conferences, and the International Union itself.
We have represented Teamsters in both the private and public sectors, and in nearly every conceivable industry — everyone from drivers in the freight and construction industries, to pilots, flight attendants, aircraft mechanics, and other airline industry workers, to public employees in highway departments and police officers, nurses and health care workers, bread and bakery workers, dairy and food-processing workers, factory workers, and many others. Virtually every kind of worker represented by the Teamsters has been represented at one time or another by a Previant attorney.
